The FA Cup

Why The FA Cup?

The sponsorship of The FA Cup enables us to be involved in one of the countries best loved sports and builds on our long standing heritage in sports involvement across the UK. We recognise and highly respect that it's the best domestic knock-out competition in the world and take great pride from the fact that we're now associated with it.

For our customers

Operating as a good and responsible neighbour wherever E.ON works is at the heart of our business and we believe The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON will give us the opportunity to invest in and widen our role in the communities we serve. Customers are sure to benefit from a variety of sports related initiatives and promotions.

For our colleagues

Our sponsorship creates a range of opportunities for us to connect with our vast network of 12,000 colleagues who work across 40 sites throughout the UK. This enables us to offer incentives such as a unique football volunteering programme whereby colleagues can attain The FA Level One Coaching badge. Each qualified E.ON coach will then be given the chance to provide coaching to local schools and clubs at a grassroots level as part of The FA Schools Football Development Programme.

For brand recognition

The competition has unrivalled tradition and is firmly established as one of the most prestigious and best loved in any sport, and as such, provides E.ON with a very powerful vehicle to raise the awareness of a relatively new brand in the UK. The sponsorship will ensure our name is broadcast to millions of people in stadiums and living rooms across the UK each season.

For the good of the game

The deal will give E.ON the opportunity to invest in local clubs, in young people and in schools across England and to have a positive impact on society in general.

As The FA's Schools Development Partner, E.ON will also be supporting The FA's work with schools across England. For example, we will be investing in educational projects like the “Up for the Cup”, which focuses on raising standards, out of school hours activities, community links, young leadership and social inclusion.
