Before you make your application it is advisable that you establish the following:

• Is the supply cable to your property underground or overhead?
• Is the current supply single phase or three phase? Use the images below to help you determine your supply type. If you are in any doubt, take a photo of your existing cut out and we can use this to establish your requirements.

You will also need to provide:

• contact name
• contact number
• address and postcode of the property where cut out needs changing.

MPAN number

To help us identify your property, you'll need to provide the MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number). You'll find this number on your electricity bill. If you don't know your MPAN you can call the Meter Point Administration Service on 0845 6030618 or email the Central Networks MPAS team

Single phase or three phase supply?

Single phase

Typically a single phase supply has a single main fuse and a single meter.

Three phase

Typically a three phase supply will have up to three main fuses and up to three meters or a single large meter.
