So that we can identify your property/development and give you an accurate quotation for the work, we'll need you to provide plans of the location and site layout. For more information, see our Notes of Guidance on Submitting Plans.

MPAN number
If you need to connect generation equipment to an existing electricity connection, you'll need to provide the MPAN number. You'll find this number on your electricity bill. If your supplier and/or MPAN number is not known, call our MPAS team on 0845 6030618

The Connection Process and Contacts

• Application

We'll log your application and give it a unique reference code.
Contact Customer Application Team 0845 072 7270.

• Design and estimating

We'll send you a quotation for connecting you to the network including the design and costs.
Contact the estimator whose name and number is provided with your quote.

• Work packaging

Once you've accepted our quotation and paid, we'll start to prepare your project. If you connection route passes over third party land we'll need legal approval, known as 'wayleaves'. Work cannot being on your project until this is complete.

• Delivery

We'll provide you with a project manager to keep your project on target. We'll give you a date for the work at this stage. We use our teams and accredited third parties, depending on the type and location of your connection.
