Home Installation was set up in the summer of 2005. It has allowed E.ON to bring together all aspects of domestic installation work as one of the three business streams within the new Energy Services business. We intend to become the premier provider of central heating services and energy efficiency measures in the UK.

Our professionally trained and qualified engineers deliver on a national basis. They are backed up by a wide network of accredited partners and a strong team of experienced support colleagues. We all work together to deliver on our promises, safely and efficiently.

Our customers

We provide a complete service for our customers' homes and businesses. We also work with local authorities and housing associations, providing an end-to-end service for heating service, repair and installation as well as implementation of energy efficiency measures for their housing stock.

In addition, we work alongside organisations like EAGA to support government initiatives aimed at reducing fuel poverty.

One quality assurance

We manage all installations and repairs through close working partnerships with our wide-reaching network of installers and repair engineers.

All of our technical team and contracted partners are qualified with national certification including CORGI registration and hold current ACS accreditation. We take the safety of our colleagues, partners and our customers very seriously and follow stringent training and health and safety procedures, in addition to quality assurance and audit processes.

Through these procedures we ensure that we offer the customer a first class, prompt and cost-effective service. We have a 24-hour emergency support line and callout and in 2005 had a high first time fix rate of over 60%.

Home Installation delivers a variety of home heating and energy efficiency measures directly into customers homes.

Products and services

Our products and services fall into four main categories:

• Home Energy Services products - a range of energy-related products for homes and businesses, including energy insurance, heating system installation (boilers, pipes and radiators), insured and uninsured central heating servicing and repairs.
• Low carbon energy saving solutions - we lead the UK in installing micro CHP boilers which not only heat a home but also provide a large proportion of its electricity needs. We also install other local generation devices such as ground source heat pumps and solar-powered units.
• Energy efficiency products and services - we install cavity wall and loft insulation and carry out energy efficiency surveys of properties in order to provide advice and recommendations on how to reduce our customers’ energy usage.
• Social responsibility - we take our role as an energy service provider seriously and are involved in a variety of services including electric blanket testing and gas safety checks.

We also provide heating maintenance services to residential management companies. A particular strength is our presence in the housing associations market.
