Renewables

In this area of our website you will be able to find out about renewable energy and how E.ON Renewables are helping to deliver E.ON UK's low carbon agenda through renewable energy generation. We are sourcing an increasing proportion of the electricity E.ON UK supplies from renewable sources, in support of the Government's challenging climate change targets.

We are serious about renewable energy generation and in the last 5 years we have invested £225 million, and plan to spend a billion pounds in renewable energy over the next 5 years.

We were partners in the UK’s first offshore wind farm at Blyth, and our 30-turbine Scroby Sands offshore scheme is one of the UK’s first commercial offshore projects.

We are currently building the UK’s largest dedicated biomass power station at Steven’s Croft, near Lockerbie, in Scotland, and have started work on our latest onshore wind farm in Cambridgeshire.

In addition, we are developing a wave energy project with Ocean Prospect, as well as having around 1,300MW of onshore and offshore wind farms in various stages of development.

All of this is helping to build a sustainable future for all of us.
