Royd Moor Wind Farm has featured in a crime thriller by an award-winning novelist. Following a visit to the site, Stephen Booth, who was the Barry Award winner for the best crime novel of 2001, decided it was exactly what he had in mind for a wind farm that will feature in his latest thriller, set in the Peak district. The wind farm also features as the back drop for local produce and there is even a café near to the site where visitors can enjoy a coffee whilst enjoying the view over the wind farm.
