For the past two years we've been assessing the suitability of the proposed wind farm project near to the town of Kirkby Lonsdale, on the border between Lancashire & Cumbria.

During this time we carried out and collated information on a number of key studies that would help determine the feasibility of the proposal. Throughout this time we have maintained that this project was in a conceptual form and that we would only finalise the project design and submit a planning application once we were satisfied that the site met our high internal development standards and was aligned with our business strategy.

Our studies have concluded that the site is suitable for a small scale development of up to 6 turbines. At this scale the development is not aligned with E.ON's business strategy of developing larger scale wind farms in the UK and therefore we will not be looking to develop the site further.
