Local Liaison Committee
The Local Liaison Committee (LLC) is a forum for interested parties regarding the project and was set up as a requirement of planning permission for the development. Committee members include representatives from the local Parish Councils, Planning Officers from Cheshire County Council and Vale Royal Borough Council plus members of E.ON's Project Team.
The meetings are held on a quarterly basis so members can discuss any issues and concerns about the project. Committee meetings are closed to the public and minutes are available for download or by contacting your local Parish Councillor for a hard copy.
Each meeting also covers a specific subject in detail with guest speakers. So far topics have included landscaping, community liaison, compliance monitoring and noise. Future topics for discussion include the safety approvals process and security measures.
Another key role of the LLC is to decide on allocation of the community fund.
John Grayling is the independent Chair of the LLC.
John has a scientific background and worked for many years in the chemical and oil industries before moving into management roles. John has held Chairmanships of many organisations including Cheshire Wildlife Trust, and the Byley Community Association and was instrumental in the development of Byley Village Hall. He has maintained a strong interest in local community matters and is currently a Governor of Byley School.
