We held two public exhibitions on the 27th and 28th May to share details of our proposal with local residents. Please visit our "public exhibition" page for more information.
The proposal
We're planning a wind farm near Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, which will be situated on agricultural land to the east of Brotherton and to the south-east of Burton Salmon.
The proposed wind farm would consist of up to nine turbines, each measuring a maximum of 125m high from the ground to the blade tip. They would have a total generation capacity of between 18MW and 22.5MW.
Environmental consideration
Independent experts are currently investigating the local environment and undertaking what is known as an Environmental Imapact Assessment (EIA). This work will result in a document called the Environmental Statement. It will provide information on issues such as how the wind farm may look, heritage, ecology, noise, construction and traffic.
Community fund
We aim to be a good neighbour at all of our wind farms. As part of this, we'd like to start a community fund when the site is operational. Please note that the community fund is separate to the planning decision.
