We were awarded the right to seek consent to develop a large-scale offshore wind farm off the Sussex coastline by the Crown Estate in the Round 3 offshore wind programme.

We will soon begin detailed environmental and engineering surveys within the zone to fully understand the potential of the area, and believe that this will support a wind farm with a capacity of around 650MW. We'll look at any potential effects on the physical, biological and human environment and use these studies to produce an Environmental Statement. This will support our application for consent in 2012.
