What is CableSafe?
CableSafe is a service provided by Central Networks which is freely available to anyone working near our cables or lines. We offer advice and support on locating our equipment and safe working around it.
How does CableSafe work?
We take requests for help and advice from companies and people who need to work safely around our electricity cables or lines. And then provide the support they need.
This can be mean very different things from a phone call, toolbox talk, auditing or giving official training courses, depending on the situation.

Why should I call CableSafe?
What have you got to lose? It’s a free call and service which is here for you to use.
If you are unsure what “working safely” really means then speak to us. We can help and support on understanding our plans and working within HSG47 guidelines, this means helping you to achieve a safer place to work for everyone.
How much does it cost?
CableSafe’s advice and support is free of charge. Official training courses are only thing that costs money.
Am I responsibly for digging even after CableSafe have advised me?
If you are carrying out the work you are responsible for your own actions* CableSafe can advise and support you, but they will not do the job for you!
