Our Changing Energy strategy is fundamental to the way in which we do business. We're meeting our challenges head on in our aim to be the UK's leading energy company and so we're keen for everyone to see that we are genuinely trying to do things better.

The strategy we've developed recognises the needs of our planet and society, our customers and the role of our own people.

The key themes that underpin our strategy will continue to dominate everything we do in 2008 and beyond. They cover major challenges such as how we provide lower carbon energy; how we produce enough affordable power for our customers' needs; how we can balance this against our environmental responsibilities; and how we can continue providing the range of products and services that our customers expect of us as a trustworthy energy company.

Our people share our vision and are constantly seeking ways of working to help us meet our Changing Energy strategic goals. We're delighted at the number of ideas and suggestions that have been put forward by employees to help us improve the way we operate.

So, how are we using our Changing Energy strategy to drive our actions as a company? For each of the three key elements of our strategy, we've identified our main targets that will help us achieve our goals and we believe these are the very essence of corporate responsibility.
