Overview
We aim to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Energy, climate change, environmental management and social responsibility have never been higher on the agenda, both politically and throughout society and the business world. So it's crucial that we engage in constructive relationships with those interested in our operations, or who have the ability to influence the debate about energy policy.
Different teams work with different stakeholders: our public affairs team is the face of E.ON in Westminster; our press office works with the media; our community relations team is committed to investing time and financial support to the communities in which E.ON operates and across our business. Specific teams and individuals at various sites take responsibility for maintaining close relationships with specialist and local organisations.
Our approach to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) is led from the corporate environment team. We are now well advanced in planning our longer-term strategy with these key stakeholders. In some areas ourselves and our stakeholders may have differing opinions and different views about future energy policies but we see it as important to maintain dialogue and be respectful of each other's position.
