Opportunities for everyone
"We're fully committed to promoting a policy of diversity and inclusion and to ensuring that our company is managed in a way that is consistent with achieving this vision."
We value the diverse experiences and talents that individuals bring to our company and aim to create an environment in which everyone is fairly treated, valued and respected.
We're fully committed to promoting a policy of diversity and inclusion and to ensuring that our company is managed in a way that is consistent with achieving this vision. We also expect our employees to respect and value each other's rights as individuals.
In 2007 we implemented two new policies - Diversity & Inclusion and Bullying & Harassment - and we are continuing to embed these into our culture. The policies reflect the spirit and intent of the E.ON Group framework on diversity and also recognise our legal requirements under UK and European law. As part of this process, we've also been working with our Group colleagues to develop a pan-European diversity e-learning tool, which will be rolled out during the early part of 2008.
Our Diversity Leadership Group, which was established in 2006 to promote diversity issues within our company, also sponsored a review of our recruitment practices, which has led to the development and implementation of a new recruitment and selection policy.
We also ran a number of employee focus groups to find out the views of our employees on diversity across our business. The groups, which were facilitated by external consultants, were very positively received and the Diversity Leadership Group is reviewing the outcomes to consider actions.
