2006 Corporate Social Repsonsibility Report - Employees

Employees

E.ON UK employed 15,635 people as at 31 December 2006.   We recognise that to excel and perform as a business, we need to help our employees excel as individuals and achieve their full potential.

In an increasingly competitive marketplace, we want to differentiate ourselves from our competitors in the way we value, develop and manage our people.   We fully embrace OneE.ON, the shared vision of the E.ON Group that unites all employees through a common vision, mission, values and behaviours that guide us in our daily work. It is helping us to build trust and confidence in each other and will encourage our stakeholders to have trust and confidence in the Company.

Within the UK, business managers and our Human Resources team have been working with employees and representative bodies across the business to ensure that we offer the sort of opportunities, reward schemes and working environments that will attract the right people to work for us, help them to maximise their contribution and encourage them to stay with us.

In this section, we describe our work in the following areas.
