Sherwood Park houses 500 Powergen employees and is located near Sherwood Forest, Nottingham.

Electricity use during 2001 was 1,063,367kWh and 63.5 tonnes of paper-based waste were recycled.

Sherwood Park has established an excellent green travel plan for its employees:

• There are 70 registered car-sharers, with more planned
• Three company buses travel through popular residential areas bringing 40 - 50 people to work each day
• There are also plans to introduce an innovative 'double parking' scheme - you can block someone in, so long as you ring them to tell them that you have done so. They then know who to call should they need to leave.
