Newland House is located close to the centre of Nottingham. Powergen uses eight floors of the block, totalling approximately 6,200m2 with around 720 desks for 980 staff.

Certification to ISO 14001 was achieved for the office facilities during June 2001, and various environmental initiatives are now under way, mostly to minimise energy and water use.

Newland House used 632,173KWh of electricity during 2001 and disposed of 3,300 litres of general waste per day.

The paper used is recycled. There is also aluminium can and printer cartridge recycling. In addition 1.5 million plastic cups were recycled during the year.
