The E.ON UK 2008 Corporate Website Report has been prepared by the management of E.ON UK.

This assurance statement contains our own unabridged opinion. Any reliance that a third party may place on this Statement is entirely at its own risk.

SCOPE AND METHODOLOGY

The Corporate Website Report includes all performance data plus a summary of content from the full 2008 E.ON UK Corporate Responsibility Report.

Our full Assurance Statement can be found on the TalkingEnergy website and covers the accuracy, balance and content of disclosures to the AA1000Assurance Standard. It also contains our observations and recommendations for improvement.

We have conducted a “reasonable assurance engagement” on the data as a whole, as defined by the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE 3000).

All data in the Corporate Website Report has been systematically cross checked against assured content from the 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report. Further evidence was requested where needed to substantiate new content.

CONCLUSIONS

We are satisfied that the Corporate Website Report provides an accurate and balanced account of E.ON UK’s corporate responsibility focus, management activities and performance during the reporting period.

We consider the information to be sufficiently accurate and free from material misstatement or omission for readers to form a balanced and informed opinion of E.ON UK’s corporate responsibility activities and performance.

INDEPENDENCE

Our 2008 assurance assignment with E.ON UK constitutes approximately 12% of The Reassurance Network’s annual turnover. In addition to this assignment, we have also verified E.ON UK’s Green Tariff during 2009. We do not have any other commercial involvement in E.ON UK, or any affiliation with E.ON UK’s stakeholders or their specific areas of interest.
