Ofgem also regulates the electricity distribution networks, agreeing price controls and monitoring service levels in these monopoly businesses.
energywatch is the industry's independent watchdog, charged with offering free and impartial advice to consumers.
The Environment Agency regulates the environmental performance of our business in England and Wales. A number of aspects of our business are also regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), including the trading of energy and the sale of insurance products to customers.
