Energy and the environment tomorrow
After exploring existing attitudes, the polling and workshops focussed on people’s views on the future of energy. The polling shows that adults have anxieties about the future of energy and the environment, complementing the views of children. The majority of British adults think “we need to act now to protect our children and grandchildren” from climate change – a view shared by almost nine in ten.

The workshops with British adults show a strong belief that the UK’s approach to energy will need to change in the coming decades. For some, this view is shaped by environmental worries, for others, it is shaped by fears of oil supplies running out.
