Safety, quality and environment

Power Engineering Services does not compromise on safety, and is committed to the E.ON UK philosophy of Rule.One - we don’t hurt people.   We recognise that the skill and energy of our workforce is our greatest asset and their ownership of safety is vital in preventing accidents, injury and harm to health.

For the last 10 years we have been awarded RoSPA’s Gold Award for Occupational Safety, resulting in Power Engineering Services receiving the Presidents Award for excellence in Health and Safety at our Hams Hall site.

Quality

Power Engineering Services hold the ISO 9001 200 revision.   Working under this Quality Management Standard supports continuous improvement activities, benefiting all aspects or our processes and operations. Our current scope of activities is:

  • Repair and maintenance of power generating equipment
  • Heavy industrial plant and associated equipment
  • Subcontract machining
  • Fitting
  • Welding
  • Fabrication to customer specifications
  • Environment

Managing the environmental impact of our operations is part of the culture at Power Engineering Services.   We recognise the interaction between our activities and the environment, and the contribution we can make to sustainable development.   To support our environmental aims and objectives, Power Engineering Services works under the ISO14001 2004 revision Management.
Our management and staff teams are committed to maintaining a high standard of care for the environment, preventing pollution and to continuously improving our environmental performance.

Scope of activity: The manufacture of parts for, and repairs to, steam valves, turbine rotors, turbine casings and internals, for the power generation industry.
