Individual volunteering

We believe volunteering can be incredibly rewarding – in terms of the relationship employees can build with those they volunteer with and also the personal skills they can use and develop.

That is why E.ON UK is committed to a number of opportunities for employees to get involved with schools on a long term, individual basis and why colleagues are getting behind nationwide initiatives to enhance the education experience for the younger generation.

plugin2engineering
plugin2engineering is our education programme which enhances the curriculum teaching of electricity in secondary schools and shows young people what it is like to work in our industry.

Colleagues volunteer in partner schools in central England delivering science lessons on the generation and distribution of electricity – highlighting the practical applications of classroom learning.

Energy Experience
The E.ON energy experience is an educational programme aimed at helping young people aged between five and 16 to learn about energy.

Employees use their valuable experience of working with energy to bring the programme to life for children through delivering key lessons from the programme in local schools.

Football Coaching
E.ON is the proud sponsor of the FA Cup and, as part of our commitment to grass-roots sport, our employees can gain their FA Level One Coaching Badge.

Employees then use their new skills to support and advance the development of football in the community, sharing their knowledge with local clubs and schools.
