Good individuals and teams require an environment in which they can flourish. We recognise this and endeavour to provide an organisational environment where all employees feel valued and respected and are encouraged to reach their full potential.

We have set minimum standards of conduct and performance and monitor them throughout the organisation. The criteria are broad. They include performance and personal development, diversity and dignity at work, reward and benefits and work-life balance as well as privacy, openness and health and safety. We also have arrangements in place to facilitate consultation with our employees and their representatives.

Mergers and acquisitions activity

Powergen has undertaken major acquisition initiatives in recent years. As part of E.ON we expect to continue to be involved in merger and acquisition work.

The ‘people’ aspects are critical in any merger, acquisition or disposal and we place great emphasis on good internal communications during the transition / integration period. We aim to ensure that our employees and their representatives are well informed about our business strategy and any associated implications for them.

Any individuals joining the Powergen organisation, regardless of where they are based, will be immediately covered by our local employment policies.
