Retail: Gas and electricity supply

We are the UK's second largest gas and electricity retailer, supplying electricity and gas to over six million homes and small to medium businesses (SMEs) through the Powergen brand. We also sell directly to large industrial and commercial customers under the E.ON Energy brand. Although we are a nationwide retailer, our customer heartlands are in the East Midlands, East Anglia and the North West, which together represent around half of our retail accounts.

In 2006, we sold a total of 56.3 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity, compared with 59.6TWh in 2005, and 92.6TWh of gas, compared with 100.3TWh in 2005.
