plugin2engineering is an online education programme created to enhance the teaching of science in secondary schools and to inspire pupils aged between 11 and 16 who may be interested in a practical, engineering-based career.

Providing young people with real insight into the industry, plugin2engineering aims to raise awareness of engineering as a career, equipping young people with the skills required for engineering roles and, hopefully, boosting recruitment into the sector.

Through video footage and interactive activities, plugin2engineering shows students what it is really like to work in the energy industry and how lessons taught in the classroom can be applied to the real world.

We'll soon be recruiting colleagues with science and engineering backgrounds to be trained to deliver activities in schools. We'll also be taking volunteers out to schools with a plugin2engineering tour in the autumn term.

plugin2engineering is curriculum linked to Key Stage 3 and GCSE Science and also with the new Engineering Diploma.
