Some of the steps we talk about are simple and quick to implement. You need to do these before installing complex and expensive solutions. We want to see evidence of the steps you have already taken as well as your plans for the future.

At E.ON we are committed to investing in the communities where we live and work and the E.ON Sustainable Energy Fund has been developed as part of that commitment.

We recognise the importance of developing sustainable energy solutions and also the role that community organisations can play in leading by example and influencing communities on the benefits and importance of using energy wisely.

In addition to the information and advice on this web site, the E.ON Sustainable Energy Fund therefore offers grants of up to £20,000 to community groups and not for profit organisations who wish to consider and implement sustainable energy projects in their buildings   - from energy efficiency through to micro-generation.

Your organisation must benefit specific community groups namely:

• Young people
• Elderly people
• People in fuel poverty
