2001 report

2001

"Corporate responsibility involves the way companies respond to society's expectations. Companies need to demonstrate that they recognise that society has expectations, what these are and what they are doing to address them.

2001 was a year of change for Powergen. We have attempted to address the expectations of our stakeholders while dealing with the challenges of a rapidly-changing marketplace and our acquisition by E.ON.

I am pleased to introduce Powergen's first Corporate Responsibility Report. This is a broader undertaking than any one of our stand-alone reports from previous years. It is a step forward for us in describing the ways we interact with all our stakeholders. It is a beginning rather than an end. As we move forward into the future we will be looking to build on best practice."
