Procurement
Providing for everyone at E.ON
We have a budget of more than £1bn. Can you help us spend it? We have big ambitions for our industry, and to achieve our goals we have to get our spending decisions right. We cover procurement, logistics, insurance and materials management. We work out future demand based on current trends. And we negotiate and monitor big contracts.
Listen to Keith Jackson, Supply Chain Procurement Executive (mp3, 3.5MB)
Keith talks about working in the Supply Chain function in Business Services - a department which manages internal processes and provides expertise in business critical areas.
The supply chain team formed from Procurement, Logistics & Demand Planning in Jan 2007, providing, for the first time, one team to deliver an end to end supply chain process.
Keith has worked for E.ON for over 25 years, witnessing a lot of change and opportunities for development and he believes his long track record is due to this dynamic environment.
For Keith, Supply Chain is an exciting place to be with Europe wide opportunities available and where its encouraged to challenge previous conventional ways of working.
Supply chain's initial goal is to be the leading supply chain organisation in the UK Utilities sector within 2 years, and in the UK within 5 years. The team’s success at the 2007 Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies Awards sees them on the way to achieving this, winning the Supplier Management Award and the Award for People Development.
