Water flow meters used in the energy, engineering, process and water industries are calibrated by Power Technology’s specialist measuring laboratory.

Our facilities also provide services to flow meter manufacturers worldwide and test valves for a wide range of applications.

Our laboratory, backed by four decades of experience, provides a primary calibration system for flow meters using mass and time principles. This achieves a flow rate measurement uncertainty of 0.1 percent.

We specialise in meters with a differential pressure output, for example, orifice plates, venturi meters and nozzles.

Calibration is also carried out on most other types of equipment including electromagnetic, turbine, ultrasonic and coriolis mass flow meters.

Additionally, the laboratory is a UKAS-accredited pressure calibration facility. (Certificate no 0031)
